Light Giver 12
Trampling the Courts
Within which ones of the Myriads who have been collected in together of the Multitude, so as to trample over one another, he began to say toward the Learners of Self, "First, take heed to your own selves, away from the Leaven, anyone who is a stage-actor of the Separatists!"But there is nothing which has been concealed which will not be unveiled, or hidden which will not be recognized!
Anti of whatsoever as much as you spoke within the Dark One, will be heard within the Daylight, and whatever you have uttered toward the Ear within the Treasury will be proclaimed upon the Housetops.
And I am speaking to yourselves, the Friends of Myself, you should not be afraid away from the ones who are killing away the Body, and after these things those who are not holding more abundantly all around anything to make.
But I will show to yourselves who you should fear: Fear the one, after the Killing Away, who is holding an authority to cast into the Valley of Hell! Yes, I am saying to yourselves, fear this one!
After the Killing Off, fear this one!
Are not five sparrows sold for two tenth-coins ("assarion")? And not one from out of themselves is that which has been forgotten in the eye of the God!
But rather the Hairs of the Head of yourselves also have all been counted! Fear not, you are carrying across multitudinous sparrows!
And I am speaking to yourselves, all who should speak the same/agree within myself in front of the Humans, the Son of the Human will also speak the same/agree within himself in front of the Angels of the God!
But the one who has rejected myself in the eye of the Humans will be rejected in the eye of the Angels of the God.
And all who will speak a logos ratio into the Son of the Human will be sent away to self. But the one who has blasphemed into the Holy Spirit, will not be sent away.46
When Brought before Accusers
And when they bring in yourselves upon the Gatherings and the Origins/Beginnings and the Authorities, do not be anxious how or what you might speak in defense, or what you should say,for the Holy Spirit will teach yourselves within herself, the Seasonal Time, the things which you must say."
But a certain one from out the Multitude said to self, "Teacher, speak to the Brother of myself to divide up in company with myself the Inheritance."
And the one said to self, "Man, who set myself down as a judge or divider over yourselves?"
חיתו - the life of himself, Genesis 1:24
And he said toward themselves, "Watch out and be on your guard away from every greed because she is not within the Abounding to anyone, the Zoe-Life of himself, from out of those things which are pre-existing.אדמה Adamah, The Ground of Adam
And he spoke a comparison toward themselves, he who is saying, "The Place of a man, a certain one, a rich one, she brought forth abundantly/flourished.And he was debating back and forth within his own self, he who is saying, What will make since I am not holding where I will store up the Fruits of myself?
And he said, I will make this one. I will tear down the Storehouses of myself, and I will house-build a more mega one, and I will store up in that place all of the Wheat and the Good Ones of myself.
And I will say to the Soul Life of myself, Soul Life, you are holding many good things which are being laid into many cycles of time; cease! eat! drink! be glad!
But the God said to self, irrational one! To this one, the Night they are demanding back away from you the Soul Life of yourself, and whatever things you prepared, to whom will they be?
θησαυρίζων αὑτῷ - Treasuring up to Him
Thus is the one who is treasuring up to himself, and not one who is rich into God.47And he said toward the Learners of Self, "Because of this, I am speaking to yourselves do not worry for the Soul Life, what you should eat, nor the Body of yourself, who you should put on.
For the Soul Life, she is much greater than the Nourishment, and the Body than the Outer Garment!
Those who Caw and Croak
Understand carefully the Crows, that they are neither sowing nor reaping, to whom there is no treasury, nor a storehouse, and the God is nourishing themselves. How much more you, yourselves are carrying through of the Winged Ones! And who from out of yourselves who is worrying is able to add a forearm/cubit upon the Age of himself?48
If therefore you are not even able in the smallest thing, why are you worrying around the Remnant?
Understand carefully the Lilies, how they grow, they are neither laboring nor spinning. I am speaking to yourselves neither did Complete One ("Solomon") within the whole Glory of himself cast around as one of these!
Being today, Being Tomorrow
And if within a field— the Farmyard who is being today, and tomorrow who is being thrown into the Furnace— the God is in this way is clothing, how much more yourselves, little-trusts?μετεωρίζεσθε - buoyed up with false hopes
And you, yourselves do not seek after something you might eat, and something you might drink, and do not be in suspense! For all of the Herds of the Order are seeking after these things, but the Father of yourselves has seen that you hold need of these!
He Adds
Except, seek after the Queen of himself, and these things will be added to yourselves.Fear not, the Little Flock! For the Father of yourselves was pleased to give to yourselves the Queen!
Sell the things that are pre-existing, and give charity. Make for your own selves purses which are not decaying over time, a treasure-store unending within the Heavenly Ones where thief does not draw near nor bookworm destroys!
For where he is, the Treasure-Store of yourselves, in that place the Heart of yourselves, she will be!
Let the Loins of yourselves be those who have girded themselves around, and the Lamps those who are burning!
"...and kings are going out from the Dual Loins of yourself."
(Genesis 35:11 RBT)He who came ⇆ He Who knocked
And yourselves are the same as men who are receiving favorably the Master of their own selves, when he should unloose from out of the Wedlocks, so that he who came and he who knocked, might immediately open to self.Blessed are the Born-Bondmen, those ones, whom the Master, he who has come, will find those who are keeping awake! Trustworthy One, I am speaking to yourselves that he will gird himself around and will make themselves recline back, and he who has come will minister to themselves.
And if within the Second One, or if within the Third Watching, he should come and find in this way, those ones are blessed.
And recognize this, that if the Home Master had seen what kind of seasonal time the Thief is coming to, he would have kept awake and would not have sent away the Home of himself to be dug through!
And you, yourselves, become prepared, because to her whom you are not thinking of, a seasonal time, the Son of the Human is coming!
And the Small Stone said, "Master, are you speaking the Comparison, this one, toward ourselves, or toward everyone?
And the Master said, "Who then is the Trustworthy Home-Steward, the Prudent One, whom the Master will set down upon the Healing of himself, of the Giving within an opportune time the Wheat-Measure?
Blessed is the Born-Bondman, that one whom the Master of himself, he who has come, will find him who is making in this way!
Truly I am speaking to yourselves that he will set down himself over all the things pre-existing!
χρονίζω - Taking Chronos Time
And if the Born-Bondman, that one, should say within the Heart of himself, the Master of myself is taking time to come and should begin to thump the Little Boys and the Maid-Servants, to devour both, and to drink and to intoxicate,διχοτομέω - cut in two equal parts, bisect a line
the Master will come to the Born-Bondman, that one, within a day, her whom he is not expecting, and within a seasonal time, her whom he is not recognizing, and she will cut in two himself and the Portion of himself she will put in company with the Untrustworthy Ones. She'll skin you alive much
And that Slave, the one who has known the Pleasure of the Master of himself and who has not prepared nor who has made toward the Pleasure of himself, he will be flayed multitudinously. And the one who has not recognized, and he who has made things counterbalancing plagues/blows will be flayed with few, and everyone who was given many, many they will seek after close beside himself, and by whomever they set beside many, more abundantly all around will they demand of himself.
I have come to throw a fire upon the Earthly One, and what am I willing if it has already been lit up?
And and I am holding a plunging to be plunged, and how I am held in together until him whom should be finished!
διαμερισμός - An apportioning, Dividing Up
Do you think that I have become near to give peace within the Earthly One? No! I am speaking to yourselves rather a dividing up!49For away from the , five within one household, those who have been divided asunder, three against two, and two against three.
three against two | two against three
(a.k.a. trampled outer courts)They will be divided asunder, a father against a son, and a son against a father, a mother against a daughter and daughter against the Mother, a mother-in-law against the Bride of herself, and a bride against the Mother-in-Law." And he was saying to the Multitude, "When you perceive a cloud, she who is rising up upon the west/sunset, immediately you all are saying that a thunderstorm is coming, and in this way it is becoming!
And when a south wind, he who is blowing, you all are saying that there will be a burning heat, and he is becoming!
Stage actors! You have known how to prove the Face of the Earthly One and the Heavenly One, but the Opportune Time, this one, you have not seen how to prove!
And why also away from your own selves are you not separating the Just?
ἀπηλλάχθαι - To Be Rid of the Adversary
For even as you are leading on in company with the Adversary of yourself against a ruler within the Road, give a task to be released away from himself, lest he should ever drag yourself down toward the Judge, and the Judge of Yourself will hand over to the Agent and the Agent will cast yourself into a watching.I am speaking to yourself, you will never come out from that place until you have given back even the Last small cent.
Footnotes
into the Son of the Man
εἰς means "into" not "against" and is not used in such a way except as perhaps a loose idiomatic interpretation. The more proper way to express "against" is by using ἐπί or κατά.
Storing up for Someone Else
The form αὑτῷ (dative singular masculine of αὐτός with a rough breathing) is not a true reflexive pronoun but a later orthographic convention used primarily to disambiguate αὐτός from the definite article (ὁ), particularly in continuous script (scriptio continua) manuscripts.
In Classical Greek, true reflexivity is expressed with ἑαυτῷ (from ἑαυτός), and the use of αὑτῷ in a reflexive sense would be considered ungrammatical. However, in Koine Greek (the lingua franca of Hellenistic world), especially in New Testament usage, αὑτῷ occasionally functions semantically as reflexive when context identifies the subject and object as the same person.
It must be noted however, that early Greek manuscripts lacked the diacritical marks, including breathings and accents; thus, distinctions such as αὐτῷ vs. αὑτῷ are entirely the product of later editorial activity and should not be treated as definitive for determining reflexivity in the original text.
The proper reflexive pronoun, ἑαυτῷ, is indeed used many times in the New Testament (NT), as it consistently marks reflexivity, i.e., actions performed by the subject upon themselves. The fact that Luke 12:21 uses αὐτῷ (non-reflexive) rather than the expected ἑαυτῷ is a significant detail and one that stands out as extremely rare in the NT. Let's unpack this further:
Why Does it Matter?
In Koine Greek, reflexive constructions are almost always formed with the pronoun ἑαυτού, ἑαυτῇ, ἑαυτῷ, which is derived from the word ἑαυτός. This reflexive pronoun is used when the subject and the object of the verb refer to the same entity, and it is unambiguous in that regard.
Examples of common reflexive constructions in the New Testament:
-
Mark 8:34: ἀπαρνησάσθω ἑαυτὸν — "Let him deny himself."
- Matthew 14:15: ἀγοράσωσιν ἑαυτοῖς βρώματα — "they might buy for themselves food"
-
Luke 9:23: ἀρνησάσθω ἑαυτὸν — "Let him deny himself."
-
Acts 20:28: Προσέχετε ἑαυτοῖς — "Take heed to yourselves"
Why Is the Use of αὐτῷ in Luke 12:21 Noteworthy?
The phrase θησαυρίζων αὐτῷ in Luke 12:21 ("storing up for him") is out of the ordinary. Normally, you would expect θησαυρίζων ἑαυτῷ, which would clearly indicate "storing up for his own self", implying a reflexive action where the man is accumulating wealth for his own benefit.
In Luke 12:21, however, the non-reflexive αὐτῷ (dative of αὐτός) is used, which suggests that the man is storing up wealth for someone else, not for himself. The phrase could be understood as "storing up for him (another person)" — possibly referring to God or another individual, depending on the interpretation.
This deviation from the expected reflexive form (ἑαυτῷ) is extremely rare in the NT. In the wider New Testament, Luke 12:21 is the only place where αὐτῷ is used in this way for what would normally be a reflexive verb. The pronoun αὐτός is the third most frequent word in the NT, behind "and" and "the."
ἡλικία: The term ἡλικία refers to "age" or "the time of life," indicating a person's age or the stage of life they are in, such as youth, adulthood, or old age. It typically refers to the length of time a person has lived, i.e., how old someone is. In context, it can be understood as a measurement of a person's life span or the specific period of life they are experiencing. For example, τὴν ἡλικίαν would commonly translate to "age" or "how old you are" in modern English, particularly when referring to a person's years of life.
The noun διαμερισμός, derived from the verb διαμερίζω (“to divide, distribute”), denotes both the act of apportioning (e.g., in territorial or cultic contexts such as LXX Ezek. 48:19; Jos. Ant. 10.11.7). The word was used of the soldiers dividing up the garments.
διαμερισμός does not specifically mean "dividing in two." While it does refer to the act of dividing or partitioning, it more generally implies a division into parts, not necessarily two equal parts.
If you want a Greek word that specifically refers to dividing into two parts, you would use the verb χωρίζω (meaning "to separate" or "to divide"), especially in the context of splitting something into two distinct portions. Another possible word is διάσπαση (from διάσπασις), which can imply a splitting or cleaving into two.
