Genesis 4:1

And the Red-one has perceived152 את-Eve his woman, and she is conceiving and bearing את-Possession,153 and saying, `I have purchased154 a man את-Yahweh.`155

Possession

Cain, Hebrew קין qayin, means possession, also spear, and specifically the iron point of the lance. The spearhead. See Strong’s #7013, and Fürst. The staff, rod, scepter, stick are from two words used for tribe (See #4294, #7626).
