Ezekiel 16:52

Also self eternal one, lift up the humiliation of yourself, that which you have separated17 to the sister of yourself within the misses of yourself, those which you have made more abominable than themselves, they are being justified more than yourself! And also self eternal one, be ashamed and lift up the humiliation of yourself within your justifying the sisters of yourself!

Footnote:

Eze. 16:52

The verb פלל derives from the basic sense “to cleave, divide, separate” (Fürst, Hebräisches und Chaldäisches Wörterbuch). From this root develops the idea “to judge, decide between parties”, hence in Hithpael and Piel: “to separate oneself, mediate, pray”, and further “to think, estimate.” The root corresponds to Arabic فلّ (falla, “to break asunder”) and Sanskrit phal (“to divide, distinguish”), while Syriac ܦܠܠ (palal) shifted semantically to “to mix, roll about, soil.” From the root derive forms such as פלל, פללה, and תפלה (“prayer, intercession, judgment”). Thus in Ezek 16:52 (פללת לאחותך) the qal perfect 2fs denotes “you separated to your sister.”
