RBT Translation:
ἐνκαθέτους - bribed spies, saboteurs, Rats, Stool Pigeons
And those who have watched closely sent away suborned informants, those who are pretending their own selves to be just ones, so that they might seize hold of himself a word, so as to hand over himself to the Origin and the Authority of the Commander.
Julia Smith Literal 1876 Translation:
And having observed narrowly, they sent liers-in-wait, feigning themselves to be just, that they might seize upon his word, to deliver him to the beginning and authority of the leader.
LITV Translation:
And watching carefully, they sent spies, pretending themselves to be righteous, in order that they might seize upon a word of His, so as to deliver Him to the power and to the authority of the governor.
