Οὐδεὶς δὲ λύχνον ἅψας εἰς κρύπτην τίθησιν, οὐδὲ ὑπὸ τὸν μόδιον, ἀλλ᾽ ἐπὶ τὴν λυχνίαν, ἵνα οἱ εἰσπορευόμενοι τὸ φέγγος βλέπωσιν.
RBT Translation:
No one who has adhered to a lamp is setting into a crypt, nor underneath the Basket, but rather upon the Lampstand so that those who are entering may look at the Brightness.
Julia Smith Literal 1876 Translation:
And none, having lighted a lamp, puts in secret, neither under a bushel, but upon the chandelier, that they coming in should see the light.
LITV Translation:
But no one having lit a lamp places it in secret, nor under the grain-measure, but on the lampstand, that the ones entering may see the light.
