Καὶ ἦν Βενιαμὴν παιδάριον ἰσχυρὸν ὡς ἐτῶν δέκα καὶ ὀκτώ, καὶ ἦν ὑπ᾽ αὐτῷ κάλλος ἄρρητον καὶ δύναμις ὡς σκύμνου λέοντος, καὶ ἦν φοβούμενος τὸν θεόν.
Καὶ κατεπήδησε Βενιαμὴν ἐκ τοῦ ὀχήματος καὶ ἔλαβε λίθον ἐκ τοῦ χειμάρρου στρογγύλον καὶ ἐπλήρωσε τὴν χεῖρα αὐτοῦ καὶ ἠκόντισε κατὰ τοῦ υἱοῦ Φαραὼ καὶ ἐπάταξε τὸν κρόταφον αὐτοῦ τὸν εὐώνυμον καὶ ἐτραυμάτισεν αὐτὸν τραύματι μεγάλῳ καὶ βαρεῖ, καὶ ἔπεσεν ἐκ τοῦ ἵππου αὐτοῦ ἡμιθανὴς τυγχάνων.
Καὶ ἀνέδραμε Βενιαμὴν ἐπὶ πέτρας καὶ εἶπε τῷ ἡνιόχῳ τῆς Ἀσενέθ· δὸς δή μοι λίθους ἐκ τοῦ χειμάρρου πεντήκοντα.
Καὶ ἔδωκεν αὐτῷ λίθους πεντήκοντα. Καὶ ἠκόντισε τοὺς λίθους Βενιαμὴν καὶ ἀπέκτεινε τοὺς πεντήκοντα ἄνδρας τοὺς ὄντας μετὰ τοῦ υἱοῦ Φαραὼ καὶ ἔδυσαν οἱ λίθοι ἐπὶ τοὺς κροτάφους ἑνὸς ἑκάστου αὐτῶν.
Τότε οἱ υἱοὶ Λίας, Ῥουβὴμ καὶ Συμεών, Λευὶς καὶ Ἰούδας, Ἰσαχὰρ καὶ Ζαβουλών, κατεδίωξαν ὀπίσω τῶν ἀνδρῶν τῶν ἐνεδρευόντων καὶ ἐπέπεσαν αὐτοῖς ἄφνω καὶ κατέκοψαν τοὺς δισχιλίους ἄνδρας καὶ ἀπέκτειναν αὐτοὺς οἱ ἓξ ἄνδρες.
Καὶ ἔφυγον οἱ ἀδελφοὶ αὐτῶν οἱ υἱοὶ Βάλλας καὶ Ζέλφας καὶ εἶπον· ἀπολώλαμεν ἐκ τῶν ἀδελφῶν ἡμῶν καὶ τέθνηκεν ὁ υἱὸς Φαραὼ ἐν τῇ χειρὶ Βενιαμὴν καὶ πάντες οἱ μετ᾽ αὐτοῦ ἀπολώλασιν ἐν χειρὶ αὐτοῦ. Καὶ νῦν δεῦτε, ἀποκτείνωμεν τὴν Ἀσενὲθ καὶ τὸν Βενιαμὴν καὶ φύγωμεν ἐπὶ τὴν ὕλην τοῦ καλάμου.
Καὶ ἦλθον ἔχοντες ἐσπασμένας τὰς ῥομφαίας αὐτῶν αἵματος πλήρεις, καὶ εἶδεν αὐτοὺς Ἀσενὲθ καὶ εἶπε· Κύριος ὁ θεός μου ὁ ζωοποιήσας με ἐκ τοῦ θανάτου, ὁ εἰπών μοι· εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα ζήσεται ἡ ψυχή σου, ῥῦσαί με ἐκ τῶν ἀνδρῶν τούτων. Καὶ ἤκουσε κύριος ὁ θεὸς τὴν φωνὴν αὐτῆς καὶ εὐθέως ἐρρύησαν αἱ ῥομφαῖαι ἀπὸ τῶν χειρῶν αὐτῶν καὶ ἔπεσον ἐπὶ τὴν γῆν καὶ διελύθησαν ὡς τέφρα.
