Matthew 9:16

Οὐδεὶς δὲ ἐπιβάλλει ἐπίβλημα ῥάκους ἀγνάφου ἐπὶ ἱματίῳ παλαιῷ· αἴρει γὰρ τὸ πλήρωμα αὐτοῦ ἀπὸ τοῦ ἱματίου, καὶ χεῖρον σχίσμα γίνεται.

σχίσμα - schism, cleft, gap, divided hoof

And no man is throwing on a tapestry of unfulled tattered rags upon an antiquated outer garment, for he is taking away the Sum of himself from the Outer Garment, and a worse cleft is becoming!

Julia Smith Literal 1876 Translation:
And no one puts on a cover of uncombed fragment upon an old garment, for its filling takes away from the garment, and the division is Worse.

LITV Translation:
But no one puts a piece of new cloth onto an old garment. For its filling up takes away from the garment, and a worse tear takes its place.
