RBT Paraphrase:
And he furrowed-about-him, and stoned-him,* and planted-him a choice-vine; and he is building a tower in his middle, and also a trough he has hewn in him, and he is waiting to make anabim [clustered-ones], and he is making beushim [stinking-ones].
Julia Smith Literal 1876 Translation:
And he will dig it up, and he will free it from stones, and he will plant it with a vine of purple grapes, and build a tower in its midst, and he will also hew out a wine-vat in it: and he will wait for grapes to be made, and it will make wild grapes.
LITV Translation:
And He dug it, and cleared it of stones, and planted it with the choicest vine, and built a tower in its midst, and also hewed out a wine vat in it. And He waited for it to produce grapes, but it produced rotten grapes.
Brenton Septuagint Translation:
And I made a hedge round it, and dug a trench, and planted a choice vine, and built a tower in the midst of it, and dug a place for the wine vat in it: and I waited for it to bring forth grapes, and it brought forth thorns.
