And the dew lying will go up, and behold, upon the face of the desert a small thing being peeled off thin, as pitch upon the earth.

And the layer of dew went up, and, behold, something small was on the face of the wilderness, scalelike, small like the hoarfrost on the earth.
Brenton Septuagint Translation:
