Julia Smith Literal 1876 Translation:
If thou shalt say, Behold, we knew not this; will not he trying hearts, understand? and he guarding thy soul, knew? and he turned back to man according to his work.
LITV Translation:
For you say, Behold, we did not know this. Does not He who weighs the heart consider it? And the Keeper of your soul, does He not know? Yea, He repays to a man according to his work.
Brenton Septuagint Translation:
But if thou shouldest say, I know not this man; Know that the Lord knows the hearts of all; And he that formed breath for all, he knows all things, Who renders to every man according to his works.
