Julia Smith Literal 1876 Translation:
To build to us an altar to turn back from after Jehovah, and if to bring up upon it a burnt-offering and a gift, and if to do upon it sacrifices of peace Jehovah he will search;
LITV Translation:
If we built an altar for ourselves to turn away from following after Jehovah, or to sacrifice on it burnt offering and food offering, or to offer on it sacrifices of peace, may Jehovah Himself require it .
Brenton Septuagint Translation:
And if we have built to ourselves an altar, so as to apostatize from the Lord our God, so as to offer upon it a sacrifice of whole burnt offerings, so as to offer upon it a sacrifice of peace offeringโ€”the Lord shall require it.
