And mighty ones is saying toward Dove, "Was he made good? He has burned angrily to yourself on account of the thin inner wafer!" And he is saying, "Make good!8 He burned angrily to myself until death!"
Julia Smith Literal 1876 Translation:
And God will say to Jonah, Was it well to kindle to thee for the gourd? And he will say, It was well to kindle to me, even to death.
LITV Translation:
And God said to Jonah, Is your anger rightly kindled over the plant? And he said, My anger is rightly kindled, even to death.
Brenton Septuagint Translation:
And God said to Jonah, Art thou very much grieved for the gourd? And he said, I am very much grieved, even to death.

Hebrew היטב is either a 2nd person singular masculine Hiphil imperative "Make good!" or a Niphal imperative, "be made good!" but the passive form does not fit. It also can be a 3rd person masculine singular Hophal perfect, but this doesn't fit either. Morphologists bypassed all of these and went with the infinitive construct, and then used this as license to add more words, and even change it altogether:

This word does not mean "It is right." Thin wafers.
