Rejoice then and be glad, ye children of Zion, in the Lord your God: for he has given you food fully, and he will rain on you the early and the latter rain, as before.

The term ื”ืžื•ืจื” (ha-moreh), from the root ื™ืจื” (y-r-h, “to throw, shoot, direct”), can mean “the archer” in a martial context. While often rendered “teacher” (one who “shoots” instruction) or “early rain” (that which “casts down” water), its core sense is “one who projects.” In military usage, this denotes an archer — one who shoots arrows. Context determines whether the meaning is literal (archery) or figurative (instruction, rainfall).

Strong's Exhaustive Concordance on #4175

From yarah; an archer; also teacher or teaching; also the early rain (see yowreh) -- (early) rain.
