Acts 7:32
Footnote:
28 | Sowing Darnel The pronoun Ἐγὼ appears here without any verb "to be." What is written here is not "I am" but simply "I" just as in the Hebrew using the emphatic "I" (anoki). The verb "I am" was plugged in by every single translation. The KJV adds words in italics: "Saying, I am the" (KJV) The LSV puts it in brackets: "I [am] the God" We did find one faithful translation of this verse, Julia Smith's: "I the God of thy fathers"
