Ἡμεῖς ἐκ τοῦ Θεοῦ ἐσμεν· ὁ γινώσκων τὸν Θεόν, ἀκούει ἡμῶν· ὃς οὐκ ἔστιν ἐκ τοῦ Θεοῦ, οὐκ ἀκούει ἡμῶν. Ἐκ τούτου γινώσκομεν τὸ πνεῦμα τῆς ἀληθείας καὶ τὸ πνεῦμα τῆς πλάνης.
RBT Translation:
We, ourselves, are from out of the God. The one who is recognizing the God is hearing ourselves. Whoever is not being from out of the God is not hearing ourselves. From out of this, we are recognizing the Spirit of the Truth and the Spirit of the Wandering.
Julia Smith Literal 1876 Translation:
We are of God: he knowing God hears us; he is not of God who hears us not. By this we know the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.
