Julia Smith Literal 1876 Translation:
And it will be when the king heard the word of the man of God which he called upon the altar in the house of God; and Jeroboam will stretch forth his hand from above the altar, saving, Seize him. And his hand which he stretched forth upon him will be dried up, and he will not be able to turn it back to him.
LITV Translation:
And it happened when king Jeroboam heard the saying of the man of God which he had cried against the altar in Bethel, he put out his hand from the altar, saying, Seize him. And his hand which he put out against him withered, and he was not able to bring it back to him.
Brenton Septuagint Translation:
And it came to pass when King Jeroboam heard the words of the man of God who called on the altar that was in Bethel, that the king stretched forth his hand from the altar, saying, Take hold of him. And, behold, his hand, which he stretched forth against him, withered, and he could not draw it back to himself.
