1 John 4:19

Ἡμεῖς ἀγαπῶμεν αὐτόν, ὅτι αὐτὸς πρῶτος ἠγάπησεν ἡμᾶς.

RBT Translation:

He was first to agape love

We, ourselves are agape-loving because he, himself, a first one, agape-loved ourselves!

Julia Smith Literal 1876 Translation:
We should love him, for he first loved us.

We love Him because He first loved us.
